Property Management Intern
About The Position
Kimco Realty Corp. is seeking interns to join its collaborative, challenging, and growth-oriented team. The summer internship is intended for candidates passionate about beginning a career in real estate. Interns will work approximately 40 hours per week for approximately 8 weeks, with flexible start and end dates, and will be paid $20 per hour. The internship provides exposure to property operations, tenant and stakeholder support, capital projects and vendors, administrative and financial tasks, and professional development. Interns will participate in site visits and property walks, support day-to-day property management activities, assist with tenant communications, track vendor and project documentation, and learn how operational decisions, budgeting, and internal systems contribute to efficient property management.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a business-oriented major, preferably with a focus in real estate.
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn internal systems.
Responsibilities
- Participate in site visits and property walks.
- Support day-to-day property management activities and follow-up.
- Learn how operational decisions affect tenants, customers, and the asset.
- Assist with tenant communication and coordination.
- Observe tenant interactions and property tours.
- Learn how property management supports tenant success.
