The Director of Property Management oversees the system of independent housing by ensuring that all buildings operate in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The Director of Property Management has direct supervisory responsibility of Regional Property Managers and/or Property Managers and staff of Catholic Housing Management administrative office. This role involves managing budgets related to all housing projects, maintaining all buildings in compliance with Regulatory Requirements and Agencies, and monitoring progress and evaluating the delivery of social services to residents of the buildings as appropriate. The Director regularly reviews the progress of each building using CHS, HUD and other standards, institutes, coordinates and monitors cost control procedures for all buildings, and has the ability to develop strong managers with accountability. The role also includes maintaining buildings in good repair by establishing and monitoring a preventive maintenance system, instituting and providing educational programs, and responding to all emergency situations at properties at all hours and locations. The Director works closely with the V.P. Housing Development & Operations to ensure the long term financial and physical stability of the properties are achieved and participates in other Catholic Health Services projects.
