Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred
  • Previous experience in property management, preferably in a social service setting
  • Experience working in mental health settings or customer service is also preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel within and between Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.
  • Experience with OneSite property management software, HPD’s Housing Connect Lottery Process, and Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Tax credit and benefits experience is a plus.
  • Experience with building lease-up is an added plus.
  • Knowledge of AWARDS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Assistant Property Management Administrator and Office Manager.
  • Manage the data, programming, documents, updates, and overall use of RealPage OneSite, including data entry, troubleshooting, user oversight, and training of new users.
  • Ensure that all data entered into the property management software is accurate, including, but not limited to, rental charges, tenant account credits, legal information, lease information, Tenant Income Certifications (TICs), maintenance requests, and client portal activities.
  • Establish full conversions in OneSite as new projects begin the leasing process, process background checks for all applicants, map projects to Finance, and train new users for those projects.
  • Track and manage tenant arrears in collaboration with the Tenancy Legal Specialist.
  • Run reports to assist in resolving rent arrears; calendar and track all Housing Court cases; provide weekly reports, as needed; attend Housing Court, as required; and assist legal staff.
  • Manage general administrative duties, including copying, filing, mail distribution, accounts payable requests, management of the department’s shared drive, and preparation of various correspondence.
  • Serve as a liaison with various internal and external departments.
  • Attend internal and external meetings; take meeting minutes, as needed; and participate in supervision and training, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
