About The Position

This role involves coordinating with the US Coast Guard Property Management for logistics, including verifications, loan updates, contract close-outs, and APO reconciliation. The specialist will also be responsible for updating work processes and procedures, scheduling property turn-in appointments, and coordinating with the return warehouse for processing. Additional duties include sanitizing storage media, preparing disposal documents, and providing shipment IDs for received assets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with US Coast Guard Property Management for logistics.
• Perform verifications by cage code and update loans.
• Manage upcoming contract close-outs and APO reconciliation.
• Assist with updating work processes and procedures, including flow charts and PowerPoint slides.
• Schedule turn-in appointments for property in possession 1-2 days before contract end date.
• Coordinate with the return warehouse for processing, including providing instructions and shipping information.
• Perform sanitization of storage media or hard drives.
• Remove hard drives of property items for disposal to DLA-DS or other disposal sites.
• Prepare and sign documents verifying sanitization of media.
• Prepare and complete necessary disposal tags and documents for timely disposal.
• Provide shipment IDs for assets received per the Asset Visibility Report.
