About The Position

DeCoach Recovery is an addiction treatment center providing comprehensive, compassionate care to people with substance use disorders. The Certified Peer Support Specialist works with the Mobile Crisis team in Fairborn, providing direct client services consistent with DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre’s mission, vision, and values. Services are provided under clinical supervision to adults and must meet the organization’s productivity and quality requirements. The role may use flex hours to best serve client needs, and requires some travel between locations. The position’s stated hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Specialist supports therapeutic services specified by the Treatment Team and in each client’s Individual Treatment Plan, and contributes to ongoing service-quality improvement.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited college or university.
Hold a Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.
Be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
Have an active Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Be competent in peer support services.
Have direct knowledge of substance abuse, correct documentation procedures, and current therapeutic methods.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support services under clinical supervision to adults while meeting DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre’s productivity and quality requirements.
Obtain therapeutic services determined by the Treatment Team and specified in the client’s Individual Treatment Plan, including individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, community activities, facility visits, vocational training, and follow-up care.
Comply with all new and current policies and procedures of DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre.
Work with administrative and team managers to improve service quality through ongoing studies of existing services and needs assessments for improvement and revisions.
Travel between locations as required.
