About The Position

DeCoach Recovery is an addiction treatment center providing comprehensive, compassionate care to people with substance use disorders. The Certified Peer Support Specialist works with the Mobile Crisis team in Fairborn and provides direct client services consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Services are provided to adults under clinical supervision and must meet DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre’s productivity and quality requirements. The role may use flexible hours to meet client needs and requires some travel between locations.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited college or university.
• Hold Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.
• Be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
• Have an active Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Be competent in peer support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services to adults under clinical supervision while meeting productivity and quality requirements.
• Obtain therapeutic services specified by the Treatment Team and the client’s Individual Treatment Plan, including individual, family, and group counseling; community activities; facility visits; vocational training; and follow-up care.
• Comply with DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre’s policies and procedures.
• Work with administrative and team managers to improve service quality through ongoing studies of existing services and needs assessments for improvements and revisions.
• Apply knowledge of substance abuse, correct documentation procedures, and current therapeutic methods.
