About The Position

Clyde & Co is seeking an insurance coverage litigation attorney with experience in handling property coverage matters. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-exposure litigation matters alongside a collaborative team of experienced litigation attorneys in one of the firm’s fastest growing regions.

Requirements

Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the bar.
Insurance coverage experience is preferred, but we are open to considering candidates from other areas of litigation that are interested in insurance coverage litigation.
Excellent academic credentials and/or solid work history.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.
Ability to handle time sensitive matters.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of complex litigation from case inception through resolution, including trial preparation and trial support.
Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case strategy and litigation management.
Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients.
