Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in property management, warehouse operations, logistics, or related field.
  • Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of property control and inventory processes.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain the required NASA badge.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required employment verification and badging documentation processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government or NASA installations.
  • Prior experience with property disposal, redistribution, or inventory control processes.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform property disposal and redistribution activities in accordance with NASA Policy Guidelines 4300 and company procedures.
  • Receive incoming tagged and non-tagged equipment and materials and process appropriately.
  • Verify Form 55/Transportation Documents for accuracy, counts, data, and asset numbers.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for sales, donations, federal transfers, or site redistribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for disposal warehouses and storage areas.
  • Receive, sort, and organize furniture, equipment, and materials.
  • Sort and manage scrap and recycling materials.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization within warehouses, yards, and work areas.
  • Operate forklifts and related material handling equipment safely.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Perform quality work within established deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Maintain compliance with all company, customer, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and attention to detail in inventory and property processes.
  • Support a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Identify and report operational or safety concerns as appropriate.
