About The Position

As Director - Property Claims Support, you will be responsible for directing and managing the property call center, as well as the activities of files and support for the property claims and support management. You will plan and implement the operational objectives of your sector, ensure budget and human resources management, and oversee the performance, continuous improvement, and efficiency of processes. Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in property claims, including 2 years of management experience.
  • Valid claims adjuster license from the Autorité des marchés financiers or commitment to obtain it.
  • Accredited Insurance Professional (AIP) designation.
  • Mastery of the French language, both oral and written, as well as advanced mastery of the English language, both oral and written, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with colleagues, partners, clients, or English-speaking suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the property call center for the entire property claims sector.
  • Direct and manage all property file activities handled by phone for the entire property claims and support management.
  • Direct and manage the support activities of the property claims and support management.
  • Contribute to the development of operational objectives and the operational plan for your sector, define the action plan, and ensure its implementation by the resources under your responsibility.
  • Prepare and monitor the budget that meets the profitability and growth measures determined for the sector under your responsibility.
  • Manage the human resources of your department, including recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and disciplinary management of staff.
  • Direct and advise employees under your supervision in their daily activities and ensure the efficient organization of the department's activities.
  • Establish and maintain a healthy work environment so that staff are motivated and continuously collaborate to achieve the company's results.
  • Analyze the performance of your department and make the necessary adjustments, particularly through the development and implementation of new work methods and processes to increase the efficiency of your department.
  • Implement effective processes and supervise the drafting of procedures for which your unit is responsible.
  • Respond to questions from internal and external auditors and implement their recommendations.
  • Assume a watchdog role in your area of expertise.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business projects (operational and/or IT) for your business line, and ensure the proper functioning of projects under your responsibility.
