About The Position

Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Property General Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned claims involving property, farm owners, personal and commercial lines of insurance within an assigned local territory. This role will also handle large losses across the western or central part of the state. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of insurance and tort law relating to property claims and expert use of Xactimate estimating software. A service-oriented attitude is crucial for maintaining professional and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent is required.
Must keep up-to-date regarding legislation, statutes, rules and regulations in your primary state.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must be able to work under all kinds of weather conditions and fully appraise all physical aspects of the property and buildings, which includes climbing on ladders.
A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required.
Analytical, problem solving, organizational and excellent communication skills required.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

Experience is preferred.
AIC, AINS and/or CPCU designations preferred.
Xactimate XM1 - Level 1 & 2 certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine coverage, subrogation, and reserve values.
Determine the value of the loss.
Maintain professional and productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, agents, agency managers, claimants, policyholders, engineers, restoration specialists, general contractors, attorneys, and others.
