About The Position

The Property Ambassador at ROOST Detroit is the warm, welcoming presence that sets the tone for the guest experience from the moment someone enters the Book Tower lobby. This role blends hospitality, service intuition, and on-the-floor engagement to ensure guests feel seen, supported, and at home throughout their stay. Property Ambassadors circulate throughout key public spaces—lobby, lounge, elevators, entry points—offering assistance, answering questions, guiding guests, and maintaining the polished, residential atmosphere that defines the ROOST brand. This is a highly guest-facing role ideal for someone who is personable, observant, and energized by creating meaningful moments of connection.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or guest-facing roles preferred.
  • Warm, engaging interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with guests.
  • Strong situational awareness and comfort circulating throughout public spaces.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Detroit’s neighborhoods, dining, arts, and cultural scene is a plus.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with luggage or deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests entering the lobby, offering warm greetings, directional support, and immediate assistance.
  • Circulate throughout public spaces to maintain a visible, approachable presence and proactively identify guest needs.
  • Support the Front Desk team by assisting with luggage, deliveries, amenity drop-offs, and guest requests during peak periods.
  • Provide local recommendations for dining, culture, transportation, and neighborhood experiences that reflect Detroit’s character and ROOST’s curated point of view.
  • Monitor lobby and common-area presentation, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and ambiance align with brand standards.
  • Assist with guest arrivals and departures, coordinating with Front Desk and Housekeeping to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Respond to guest concerns or issues with empathy and urgency, escalating to leadership when needed.
  • Maintain awareness of building activity, supporting safety, access control, and guest comfort throughout the property.
  • Represent the ROOST brand voice through polished communication, thoughtful service, and a calm, confident presence.
