About The Position

Beztak, a national Real Estate Development, Construction, and Property Management company, wants you to join our family of talented individuals. We are seeking to hire bright, dynamic leaders who have a passion for service and a commitment to excellence. The Property Accountant is responsible for the financial accounting of a portfolio of residential apartments. This includes the monthly close, financial statement reporting, bank reconciliations and other ad hoc reports as needed. This position is fully onsite at our Corporate Office in Farmington Hills, MI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 1 to 2 years experience in an accounting role

Nice To Haves

• Yardi experience preferred, but not required
• Property Management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the financial accounting for a portfolio of properties
• Complete month end, quarterly and annual accounting responsibilities for the portfolio
• Tie out balance sheet accounts
• Complete back reconciliations
• Calculate and enter accruals and reclasses
• Complete year end packages for tax returns and audits
• Able to work in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills.
