About The Position

This role is for a Property Accountant with a hybrid work environment, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. The position is based in Austin, TX, and is not fully remote. The Property Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1–4 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Property management or real estate accounting experience is a plus
  • Experience with RealPage, Yardi, or similar accounting software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
  • Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review and analyze financial statements
  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain supporting documentation
  • Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, and other recurring accounting activities
  • Assist with variance analysis and account research
  • Support operational and property management teams with accounting-related questions
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
