About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Property Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing and posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and analyzing financial statements. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong Excel and analytical skills. Experience in property management or real estate accounting, and with software like RealPage or Yardi, is a plus. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, and is open to Austin-area candidates only.

Requirements

1–4 years of accounting experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Strong Excel and analytical skills required
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

Property management or real estate accounting experience is a plus
Experience with RealPage, Yardi, or similar accounting software is a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Review and analyze financial statements
Record daily financial transactions and maintain supporting documentation
Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, and other recurring accounting activities
Assist with variance analysis and account research
Support operational and property management teams with accounting-related questions
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
