About The Position

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the team at its Kennebunk, Maine customer service center. The position involves propane service and tank installation, customer emergency response, tank maintenance and inspections, and occasional support for propane deliveries. The company describes a safety-focused team and a work environment guided by its “Superior Way” internal processes. The hourly pay range is $28.00–$35.00. The role is eligible for overtime pay after scheduled work-week hours are met, an on-call incentive stipend when applicable, and a quarterly/annual incentive program. Pay depends on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and market and business considerations.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree.
CDL Class A or B, or willingness to obtain one within the first year of employment in the position.
Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License required.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; the employer will not sponsor employment visas for this opening, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

2–3 years of propane, oil, or HVAC service experience preferred.
Hazmat/Tanker endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide propane service and install tanks.
Identify and correct leaks from tanks to equipment connections.
Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
Maintain spare tanks at company plants in preparation for returning them to service.
Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
Cross-train to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
Communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales representatives, drivers, and customers as necessary.
