About The Position

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to provide propane service and install tanks. The technician identifies and corrects leaks, responds to customer emergencies, maintains and prepares spare tanks, and performs tank inspections and repairs at customer locations. The position may also be cross-trained to assist with propane deliveries by bobtail truck. It involves communicating proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, sales representatives, drivers, and customers. The technician rotates on-call coverage during evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree.
• CDL Class A or B.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of propane gas/oil service experience; HVAC experience is also noted.
• Hazmat/tanker endorsement.
• Propane Delivery License.

Responsibilities

• Provide propane service and install tanks.
• Identify and correct leaks from the tank to the equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform maintenance on spare tanks at company plants in preparation for putting them into service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-train to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, sales representatives, drivers, and customers as necessary.
