About The Position

AGRILAND FS is seeking a self-starting, dependable, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working outdoors. The Propane Service Specialist safely and efficiently installs and services propane systems, traveling throughout Southern Iowa and northwest Missouri as needed. The role includes propane plumbing, trenching, tank delivery and maintenance, service billing, inventory assistance, and helping maintain equipment and facilities.

Requirements

• Be able to obtain a CDL with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements.
• Demonstrate excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work outdoors in a variety of extreme weather conditions.
• Have good organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, commitment, and perseverance.
• Be able to regularly lift more than 75 pounds.
• Be able to stand, sit, crawl, climb, and reach difficult areas as the job demands.
• Pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Construction, plumbing, or heating experience.

Responsibilities

• Install new propane systems and service existing propane systems.
• Install above- and below-ground propane plumbing to buildings and perform trenching.
• Replace regulators and perform leak checks.
• Set, maintain, deliver, and remove propane storage tanks.
• Perform general tank maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Accurately bill for parts and service.
• Assist with inventory control.
• Work with the team to maintain equipment and facilities.
