About The Position

Scott Petroleum is seeking a Propane Route Salesperson to safely and reliably deliver propane to customers. The role involves operating delivery trucks, completing scheduled deliveries, maintaining product quality, providing professional customer service, and following company and safety procedures. The salesperson also conducts routine vehicle inspections, completes delivery records, communicates with dispatch, and follows established protocols in emergencies such as spills or accidents.

Requirements

Must be 25 years of age or older.
Must have a Class B CDL.
Must have hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Must satisfactorily complete a D.O.T. physical, drug test, and background check.
Good organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Operate delivery trucks safely and efficiently while following traffic and safety regulations.
Complete scheduled deliveries of propane products to customers.
Ensure accurate, high-quality delivery and maintain product integrity during transport.
Interact professionally with customers, address inquiries, and represent the company positively.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance, and promptly report issues.
Accurately complete delivery paperwork, including logs, records, and customer receipts.
Communicate with dispatch about delivery progress and any issues.
Respond to emergencies such as spills or accidents in accordance with established safety protocols.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
