About The Position

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for safe, timely propane deliveries and for providing exceptional customer service while delivering, loading, and unloading propane. The role also upholds safety standards in propane handling and includes vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Drivers transfer propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders. They use technology where available to monitor inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizes; prepare delivery tickets; and complete daily driver reports. They maintain clean, organized vehicles and equipment, report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher, and conduct vehicle, site, and visual tank inspections as applicable. Drivers coordinate with the Dispatcher on routing and scheduling and promptly report product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues. Overtime may be required when business needs require it.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Ability to work overtime and on call.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B, Tanker, and Hazmat endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing using technology where available.
• Accurately record and print delivery tickets for delivered product.
• Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on how to resolve them.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
