CDL - Propane Delivery Driver - Hilton Head
About The Position
Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Propane Delivery Driver for its Hilton Head location. The role combines propane delivery with hands-on technical support, including assisting with the installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of propane systems and equipment. The position involves driving and fieldwork in a fast-paced environment and providing service to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. The driver operates propane delivery trucks in compliance with applicable safety and transportation regulations, communicates with dispatch and management, and participates in on-call rotations. The role requires full-time availability, overtime, outdoor work in inclement weather, and the ability to assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks.
- Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort using mobile devices and dispatch systems.
- Availability to work full-time hours, overtime, and on-call rotations.
- Availability to assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.

Responsibilities
- Operate propane delivery trucks safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Assist experienced service technicians with installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of propane equipment and systems.
- Keep trucks and equipment clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
- Adhere to company safety guidelines.
- Follow OSHA, DOT, and applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.
