About The Position

Valley Energy Company is hiring a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Propane Delivery Driver (Bobtail Driver) for local routes in Purcellville, Virginia. The driver safely delivers propane to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers, works independently, and contributes to a supportive team. Propane delivery experience is preferred, though qualified CDL drivers from other industries are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position with seasonal fluctuations in demand, especially during the winter heating season, when additional hours may be required.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT medical qualification requirements.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment drug testing and background screening.
• Commitment to safe driving practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery responsibilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane bobtail delivery truck on established local routes.
• Deliver propane to residential and commercial customer locations.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Follow DOT, FMCSA, and applicable hazardous materials safety regulations.
• Monitor vehicle and equipment conditions and report maintenance concerns.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and office personnel.
• Assist with other operational responsibilities as assigned.
