About The Position

Valley Energy Company is hiring a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Propane Delivery Driver (Bobtail Driver) for its local delivery operations in Purcellville, Virginia. The role safely delivers propane to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers on established local routes. Drivers work independently while coordinating with dispatch and office staff, maintaining delivery records, inspecting vehicles and equipment, and providing courteous customer service. Propane delivery experience is preferred, but qualified CDL drivers from other industries are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position, with flexibility to work additional hours potentially required during peak periods, particularly the winter heating season.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT medical qualification requirements.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment drug testing and background screening.
• Commitment to safe driving practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery responsibilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Propane delivery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane bobtail delivery truck on established local routes.
• Deliver propane to residential and commercial customer locations.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Follow DOT, FMCSA, and applicable hazardous materials safety regulations.
• Monitor vehicle and equipment conditions and report maintenance concerns.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and office personnel.
• Assist with other operational responsibilities as assigned.
