About The Position

Sapp Bros. is seeking a patient, safe, and courteous CDL Driver to join its transportation team. The driver represents the company on the road and is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering packaged lubricants, drums, and other merchandise to truck stops or directly to customers’ places of business. This is a local delivery role with drivers home every night. The company emphasizes safe, courteous, lawful driving and aims to sustain zero accidents through a safety-minded work environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B required.
• Possess a current DOT health card.
• Have an excellent driving and safety record.
• Pass criminal background checks, including motor vehicle records, DOT, and employment reference verification.
• Receive a negative result on pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug and alcohol screening tests.
• Be safety-focused and detail-oriented, and able to do the job correctly the first time.
• Able to remain alert while driving for periods of up to 11 hours.
• Able to squat, crouch, and reach as needed to handle, secure, and deliver products.
• Able to enter and exit the vehicle cab numerous times each day.
• Able to push freight weighing up to 1,000 pounds on a dolly or cart and move product weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without mechanical aid.
• Able to handle special equipment required for product delivery.

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL is strongly preferred.
• Hazmat, Airbrakes, and Tanker endorsements are strongly preferred; they would need to be obtained upon employment.
• Previous experience in oil and/or fuel transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver packaged lubricants, drums, and other merchandise to truck stops and customers’ places of business.
• Operate company trucks safely and courteously and abide by applicable laws.
• Handle, secure, and deliver products using any required special equipment.
