About The Position

The Propane Bobtail Driver safely and promptly delivers propane to customers, handling the loading, transfer, and unloading of product while providing exceptional customer service. The role includes maintaining vehicle and equipment safety, performing inspections, recording delivery and inventory information, and coordinating with dispatch. This is a seasonal position. The hourly rate is $25.00–$27.00, with overtime pay after scheduled weekly hours are met. When applicable, the role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend and a quarterly/annual incentive program. Pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and market and business considerations. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
Current DOT medical certification.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets for delivered product.
Complete and submit daily driver reports when necessary.
Maintain equipment to high safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and seek guidance on resolution.
Work overtime when business needs require it.
Perform other duties as assigned.
