About The Position
The Student Media Promotions Director is responsible for promoting the department to the on-campus community and utilizing social media to inform the community of news and events happening on campus. This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies. Through this role, students will strengthen competencies in Technology, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Teamwork.
Requirements
- MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
- Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
- Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
Responsibilities
- Planning and hosting on-campus events
- Developing and implementing a promotional strategy to inform the community about Student Media
- Working with WXAV’s Music Directors in securing prizes to giveaway
- Recruiting a department Street Team who will help promote the Student Media
- Working with the Student Media webmaster in overseeing the departments social media accounts
- Collaborating with the Student Media business manager promoting sponsors and developing off-campus events, such as live remote broadcasts or interviews
- Scheduling on-campus remote broadcasts
