About The Position

iHeartMedia is seeking part-time Promotions/Event Assistants to support the Promotions & Marketing department with activities that promote its New York stations, clients, and events. Assistants represent iHeartRadio NYC brands at community and charity events, concerts, retail locations, parks, beaches, restaurants, bars, and other venues, creating an engaging atmosphere while interacting with listeners. They help promote the iHeartRadio app, events, stations, podcasts, and sponsors, and support major events such as Z100’s Jingle Ball, 106.7 Lite FM’s Broadway in Bryant Park, and Power 105.1’s Power Sessions.

The role includes executing events from setup through breakdown, assisting with live remote broadcasts, capturing and uploading event recap photos and videos, and driving and loading station vehicles. Assistants may also perform office administrative tasks and help fulfill contests by recording winner information, contacting winners, and delivering or shipping prizes. The position is based in New York, NY, with transportation required to the Manhattan office and the East Rutherford, NJ storage and vehicle facility. The position is part-time, hourly, and requires at least 20 hours per week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and two weekdays, with some holiday availability.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record; must pass the company DMV background check.
• Energetic and outgoing, and comfortable hosting a crowd of 100 or more over a microphone.
• Strong interest in events, marketing, promotions, advertising, and live event production.
• Organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with the NYC metropolitan area.
• Ability to stand for multiple hours and lift or move objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
• Availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and two weekdays; some holiday availability is required.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation to East Rutherford, NJ, and Manhattan; public transportation to the East Rutherford location is scarce during early morning and late-night hours.
• Knowledge of the stations’ core demographics.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented, with a calm, solutions-oriented demeanor.
• Professionalism around high-profile celebrities.

Nice To Haves

• Current college student or recent college graduate.
• Prior activation or event experience.
• Familiarity with professional football.
• Personal vehicle for transportation to the East Rutherford facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent iHeartRadio NYC brands at community and charity events, concerts, retail locations, and other venues, interacting with listeners and creating an engaging atmosphere.
• Promote the iHeartRadio app, events, stations, podcasts, and sponsors.
• Execute events from start to finish, coordinating with on-site contacts, distributing station giveaways, and setting up and breaking down equipment and branding.
• Assist at iHeartMedia New York tent-pole events, including credential check-in, sponsor activations, production support, and talent escorting.
• Assist the Engineering department with the technical execution of live remote broadcasts.
• Capture and upload event recap photos and videos.
• Load and unload station vehicles before and after events, and drive station vehicles to events.
• Assist with in-office administrative duties as needed.
• Assist with contest fulfillment, including entering winner information into the record-keeping system, contacting winners, and delivering or shipping prizes.
