About The Position

Audacy Philadelphia is seeking a part-time Promotions Assistant who may also perform as the B101 Buzzbee mascot. The role promotes a positive station image through engaging, upbeat interactions with listeners, customers, and coworkers. The assistant supports promotional work across Philadelphia radio brands, including KYW Newsradio, Sportsradio 94WIP, B101, BIG 98.1, WPHT, and The NEW 96.5. This is an evergreen posting used to build a roster of prospective candidates for future opportunities. The position includes on-site appearances, station and client promotions, event support, and mascot performance. It requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Driving on behalf of Audacy is an essential function of the role.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old to operate any vehicle on behalf of Audacy.
Have a valid driver’s license and satisfactorily complete a motor vehicle record check.
Provide proof of insurance if the role requires use of the applicant’s own vehicle.
Be organized and have good communication skills.
Have intermediate computer and administrative skills.
Be able to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings as necessary.
Be a self-starter who can multitask, pay attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines.
Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude when dealing with customers and listeners.

Responsibilities

Maintain enthusiasm and high energy while promoting a positive station image.
Execute assigned on-site appearances, promotional activities, and special projects.
Assist with setup and breakdown of vehicles and equipment, prizes and giveaways, and signage at appearances.
Support promotions and sales staff with station promotional activities inside and outside the station.
Facilitate and attend appearances, complete on-site setup, and maintain station visibility.
Execute on-location station and client activations and promotions to increase audience interaction and engagement.
Perform other marketing and promotional department duties as assigned by the manager.
Perform as the Buzzbee mascot at station events and appearances, greeting listeners and working with team members to enhance the event experience.
Maintain Buzzbee’s playful, upbeat manner throughout events.
Maintain the mascot costume and props as needed.
