About The Position

The Prolink Fabrication Supervisor for the 2nd shift plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the fabrication operations within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that production goals are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The supervisor will coordinate and manage a team of fabricators, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues. They will also collaborate closely with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure seamless production processes. Ultimately, the role aims to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and contribute to the overall success of the fabrication facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in fabrication or manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage shift operations effectively.
  • Leadership and communication skills are essential for motivating the team, providing clear instructions, and resolving conflicts.
  • Analytical skills help in identifying production bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Prolink fabrication software or similar production management systems.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with welding processes and quality control techniques.
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Familiarity with fabrication software and production management tools supports accurate tracking of workflow and resource allocation.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and welding expertise further enhance the supervisor's ability to optimize operations and maintain high-quality output.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the 2nd shift fabrication team to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
