About The Position

As part of the Projects Department at Braya Renewable Fuels, the Projects Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of various tasks including but not limited to the fabrication and installation of pressure piping. Inclusive of supervising a selected number of Pipefitters and High-Pressure Welders, the supervisor will contribute to planning and collaboration with all departments to improve the safety, reliability, and business objectives of the facility. The candidate will also ensure adherence to Braya policies and procedures, including standards, regulations, and contractual agreements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Industrial Piping supervisory experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment medical.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.
  • Journeyperson Status, equivalency may be considered (Pipefitter or Pipefitter Welder as asset).
  • Motivated and hard-working with a professional attitude.
  • Exemplary record in Health, Safety, and Environment is essential.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of refinery operations or Industrial background.
  • Ability to read and understand Ghantt Charts, P6 schedules, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade Certificate would be an asset.
  • Computer literacy (an asset), i.e., Microsoft Office and (Computerized Maintenance Management System) such as Maximo or SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to BRAYA Pipefitters and Pipefitter welders that are assigned to the capital project team.
  • Ensure employees comply with all Company policies/procedures and safety regulations.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and plan activities for your team, and work with contractors.
  • Develop and promote a positive employee relations environment within the organization and outside contractors.
  • Preparing and entering data into various information systems (i.e., work order history, employee time details, monthly reports, discipline, etc.).
  • Ensure all upcoming work requirements are in place to ensure no delays.
  • Reviewing employee’s performance and providing appropriate feedback and coaching.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
