About The Position

Arcadis is looking for a Project Water Wastewater Engineer to join their growing Resilience Water Team in either Virginia or Maryland. The role involves tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions for water issues such as quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience. The candidate will collaborate with experienced Water Professionals to support, manage, and drive project development, interact with clients, and develop technical and professional capabilities.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in engineering and consulting, primarily related to the municipal water market.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • PE License.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about technical challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 years of experience in engineering and consulting, primarily related to the municipal water/wastewater market.
  • 2 years of experience in local municipal water/wastewater markets.
  • Master of Science or Master of Engineering in a related field.
  • Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tasks and projects for the planning, design and construction of Water/Wastewater distribution/collection systems, pump stations, and/or treatment plants.
  • Develop design and construction documents, such as reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
  • Provide support in the construction administration of projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams.
  • Serve as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on projects.
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets.
  • Support client teams by identifying, tracking, and positioning for new opportunities.
  • Participate in pursuit capture planning for new project opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals to secure future work.
  • Perform local travel for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning, or to oversee construction activities.
