About The Position

Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Property Condition Assessment / Building Science and Sustainability team in Richmond. This new role reports to the Operations Manager. Pinchin’s Property Condition Assessment / Building Science and Sustainability team delivers practical capital planning assessments and science-based solutions that enhance building owner’s preparedness for the future and improve building performance, durability, and resiliency. Our multidisciplinary experts collaborate on assessments, restoration, and design projects to help clients protect assets, manage risk, and extend the life of their buildings.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Architectural Technology or equivalent experience
• Sound construction knowledge / understanding of various building systems in Canadian real estate development context
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)

Nice To Haves

• Experience conducting Baseline Property Condition Assessments in accordance with the ASTM2018-24 "Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments" would be an asset
• Commercial Building Inspector experience is an asset
• Developing Depreciation Reports experience is an asset
