About The Position

Stantec Consulting Services Inc. is seeking to hire multiple Building Science Consultants in San Francisco, CA. This role involves reviewing Building Envelope drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals. The consultant will assist Project Managers with project proposals and budget management, perform field testing to confirm building enclosure performance, and conduct periodic site visits to identify and update action items related to the building envelope. Responsibilities also include supporting proposals, establishing financial budgets, and attending pre-construction meetings to document discussions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2 years of related work experience.
2 years of experience with Building construction and developing construction drawings from schematic designs.
2 years of experience with Building Envelope membrane products, details, and installation.
2 years of experience with Assessment of construction defects.
2 years of experience Performing field testing of building enclosure performance.
2 years of experience Developing specifications for waterproofing tie-in's, termination, installation, and repair of building construction projects.

Responsibilities

Review Building Envelope drawings, specifications, RFI and submittals.
Assist Project Managers with project proposals and project budget management.
Perform field testing to confirm building enclosure performance.
Perform periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items related to Building envelopment.
Support proposals and establishing financial budgets.
Attend pre-construction meetings and document discussions.
