About The Position

Fuscoe Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to support its Los Angeles office. The firm is a 100% employee-owned civil engineering company with services spanning Survey & Mapping, Stormwater Management & Water Quality, and Geospatial Technology. The role supports land development projects and involves preparing, overseeing, and processing a range of subdivision and survey matters, as well as coordinating project budgets and schedules with engineering Project Managers. The Project Surveyor will prepare project approaches and set up and execute mapping tasks. The position is suited to a motivated, curious problem-solver who can work independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

Two years of general survey and mapping education and up to six years or more of experience, or an equivalent combination of college education and design experience in land boundary and titles.
At least two years of experience independently solving complex mapping or engineering problems.
Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of California.
Motivated and curious problem-solver who works well independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare, oversee, and process subdivision maps, records of survey, ALTA surveys, lot line adjustments, legal descriptions, condominium plans, and other related subdivision and survey matters.
Monitor project budgets and schedules, and coordinate with engineering Project Managers.
Prepare project approaches, set up mapping tasks, and execute them.
