About The Position

The Project Specialist, Sales Training is responsible for planning and execution of many activities related to the Sales Training programs available for the North American Healthcare Sales Team. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Training. The Project Specialist owns the project plans for STERIS Healthcare Sales Training programs delivered to Sales Representatives on the SPD capital and consumable teams and also the GI, CSS teams. You will be responsible for the new sales hire onboarding process and will be the primary contact for all new employees in the sales organization. You will be directly involved in both the annual National Sales Meeting, to support the communication and technology needs for this event, as well as the highly utilized STERIS University Learning Management System (LMS) and will launch content to the sales team and maintain accurate training records using this system. Additionally, this role will support additional Sales Training needs as deemed necessary by the Senior Manager, Sales Training while also working closely with Healthcare Sales Training Department staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years work experience as a key contributor or project management experience on high profile projects.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 10%.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated proficiencies in scheduling, organizing data and preparing reports is required.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, both with internal employees as well as Customers.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively with little supervision.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to effectively interface with various departments and levels inside and outside of the organization in order to expedite tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of Administrative Assistant or Department Coordinator experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in a training environment (scheduling training, preparing materials, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the project plan for STERIS Healthcare Sales Training programs delivered to Sales Representatives on the SPD capital and consumable teams and also the GI, CSS teams.
  • Execution of this plan includes all details from securing presenter schedules, materials and collateral attainment to logistics details required to delivering high quality Sales Training regardless of location.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the HC Sales Training calendar with all scheduled events that impact new hire training and the Healthcare Sales Training Department.
  • Support the communication and technology needs for National Sales Meetings, Local Sales Manager Meetings, and other designated Corporate Events, as deemed necessary by either the Senior Manager, Sales Training.
  • Secondary owner of the SpotMe app, an application used as the communication interface for all STERIS attendees of the annual National Sales Meeting.
  • Act as Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator for the Healthcare Sales Training Department, will test, launch and assign online learning content via the STERIS University LMS (SuccessFactors), and audit user completion status.
  • Provides and maintains accurate course and curriculum information regarding Healthcare Sales Training on the STERIS University internal LMS portal.
  • Responsible for the acquisition and inventory maintenance of all curriculum and training materials required by the Department.
  • Responsible for primary support to the Senior Manager, Sales Training.
  • Support activities range from database maintenance, audit, purchasing, inventory along with general support of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
