About The Position

Curries, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is expanding the Project Services Team. This will be an on-site position based out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa. The Project Services Order Writer will translate distributor approved hollow metal submittals and hardware schedules for completeness and accuracy. They will also enter the data into Protech to generate a Curries order and enter the order data into the computer system and review for accuracy.

Requirements

High School or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience within the hollow metal door and frame industry.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical information.
Proficient understanding of commercial door and frame hardware preferred.
Excellent computer skills such as Word and Excel.
Excellent math and conceptual skills such as basic geometry, algebra, fractions and metrics.
Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience within the building material, hardware or construction industry and/or a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Interpret and enter hollow metal door & hardware schedules with accuracy.
Interpret codes, specifications and label requirements.
Consult the engineering team on special product requests as needed.
Advise customers on technical inquiries.
Communicate with customers and internal team members on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.
Interpret hardware templates.
Review orders and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.
Initiate “DOT” Direct Order Transfer to our CURRIES workflow.
Perform special assignments and projects as assigned.
Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
