About The Position

Project Scientist/Manager To best integrate into our existing exceptional team, the ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, career-oriented scientist with the ability to apply technical and critical thinking skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients. We are looking for a team member that is knowledgeable of environmental science principles and policies. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience (working in environmental consulting or other applicable environmental sector).

Requirements

BS or MS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field with at least 5 years of environmental consulting experience
Hold professional registration or certification a plus
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently
Ability to organize and manage field sampling efforts, manage large amounts of laboratory data, analyze information, and prepare technical reports
Ability to interact/negotiate with regulatory personnel, contractors and clients
Detail-oriented and timely in completing assignments and contribute to a positive work environment
Ability to balance personal and project workloads and schedules to accommodate multiple projects
Works well as an independent but accountable team member
Strong oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge and compliance expertise
Strong personal safety culture
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training in accordance with 29CFR 1910.120
Proficient in MS office

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with designing and implementing UST Removal Closure Assessments, Site Assessment/Characterization and Remediation associated with petroleum products, including data evaluation and reporting.
Experience with completing and/or updating Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans at active vehicle maintenance facilities, including project reporting.
Hands-on experience implementing drainage surveys to maintain compliance with regulatory discharge permitting requirements and/or facilitate flow.
Experience completing Wastewater Discharge Permits and associated Discharge Monitoring Reports.
Experience with the operation and maintenance of oil/water separators.
Hands-on Project Management experience including project scope development, project implementation and/or oversight, budget management and invoicing.

Responsibilities

Schedule, oversee and/or complete field work at locations across the country.
Prepare technical reports for delivery to clients, perform quality control review, and maintain deliverable quality to meet internal and client requirements.
Actively support and participate in the company health and safety program by teaching and enforcing health and safety standards, regulations, and procedures.
Be open to professional development opportunities including training in a variety of technical and project management areas and mentoring from senior staff.
