The Project Scheduler provides detailed planning and scheduling for projects from conceptual planning through construction. The role works with project superintendents, project managers, estimators, procurement staff, construction managers, and other project services staff to develop, maintain, and review discipline and project schedules. Schedules include activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, logic and constraints, realistic durations, and other deliverables to be tracked. The scheduler assesses the effects of design changes and schedule slippages, keeps management and clients informed of schedule updates, and uses engineering, procurement, and construction knowledge to develop and maintain critical-path logic networks. The position also uses historical data to support realistic planning and forecasting, assists in resolving difficult project controls issues such as time impact analysis, prepares progress reports and schedule narratives, and may attend client meetings and provide statistical reports. The role confirms project status and reports schedule variations, maintains documentation of schedule submittals and related facts, coordinates revision or recovery schedules with on-site and office teams, tracks schedule-related contract requirements and changes, interprets performance curve data, forecasts productivity, and assists with bid schedules. It also provides schedule training to job teams. Work may be performed from the main office or designated jobsite locations, where conditions may vary.
