Requirements

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules.
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate schedule feasibility, resource constraints, and project risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex schedule information into clear updates for technical and management audiences.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, scheduling principles, and industry best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to proactively identify issues and drive them toward resolution.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • 5 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years with a Masters; 9 years of experience can be accepted without a degree
  • Experience must include project planning, scheduling, and other related duties

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard project management and scheduling tools, including task sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project performance and schedule health, identifying potential delays, variances, and emerging issues before they impact key milestones.
  • Analyze schedule impacts and work with project teams to develop practical corrective actions and recovery strategies.
  • Identify and manage critical path activities, schedule risks, constraints, and interdependencies to support successful project execution.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams to track deliverables, resolve issues, and ensure action items are completed on time.
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and high-level program schedules for management and stakeholder review.
  • Prepare clear, concise schedule reports and briefings that provide leadership with visibility into progress, risks, upcoming milestones, and areas requiring attention.
  • Facilitate schedule and planning meetings, working closely with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to maintain alignment.
  • Communicate schedule changes and project status effectively to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project scheduling processes, tools, and best practices.
