About The Position

The Projects Quality Engineer provides end-to-end quality assurance and oversight for Whiting Refinery projects across engineering, procurement, supplier manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and project turnover. The role focuses on proactive, risk-based quality planning, supplier quality execution, engineering contractor oversight, and translating project requirements into supplier deliverables and field execution. It serves as a quality interface among Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers, Inspection Service Providers, Construction, and Commissioning to help ensure equipment, materials, and installed work meet project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and contractual obligations. The position supports mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, structural, and civil scopes, as well as construction sites and Turnaround (TAR) work as required by project phase and risk. The opportunity is contingent on a successful contract award, client approval, project requirements, and applicable onboarding or site-access requirements. The role requires work in both office and field environments, including supplier facilities and active construction sites, and domestic and international travel as needed. A TWIC card is required for site access.
