The Project Procurement Manager performs procurement activities for major proposals and projects, leads procurement work with minimal or no supervision, and may be responsible for developing or implementing business strategies. The role purchases equipment, construction, and service contracts, sets up project procurement activities, and manages the procurement process from bid-list preparation and quote solicitation through evaluation, negotiation, and contract award. It leads negotiations and helps resolve complex claims and other issues while ensuring contract documents are accurate and issued on schedule. The position develops and monitors procurement budgets, schedules, milestones, and goals, tracks and reports procurement activity, and may lead presentations to clients, joint venture partners, and internal teams. It develops and delivers training and coaches and mentors procurement professionals in processes, tools, commercial terms, and project execution. It may also lead proposal or estimating efforts and participate in early negotiations with vendors or subcontractors before project release. The position acts as a lead person, providing work direction but without management responsibility for those receiving that direction. The role is full-time. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, subject to manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments. The position requires at least 10 years of relevant experience. A degree in a related field is preferred, though relevant experience can substitute for a degree.
