About The Position

Vulcraft of New York, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager located in Chemung, NY. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, overseeing all project activities from start to finish, and demonstrating technical proficiency in reading and interpreting various project documents. The Project Manager will proactively identify and resolve issues, deliver exceptional service through clear communication, and act as a liaison between customers, project teams, and internal departments. Safety is paramount, and candidates must uphold all safety policies and standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or higher
Competent with Microsoft Office software programs
One or more years of experience in the steel joist and deck industry

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers
Oversee and manage all activities associated with assigned projects from start to finish
Demonstrate technical proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering documents, and shop orders
Proactively identify potential issues or delays, and communicate effective, cost-conscious solutions
Deliver exceptional service through professional, clear, and responsive communication (both written and verbal) with internal teams and external customers
Serve as a key liaison to ensure seamless communication between customers, project teams, and internal departments
Take full ownership of projects, demonstrating accountability and a results-driven mindset in all aspects of the role
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
