About The Position

Provide hands-on project management support for a large, complex transformation initiative for M&T Bank. This is a six-month opportunity with potential to convert to a full-time role. The position supports project analysis, planning, governance, and execution across multiple workstreams. The role is based in Buffalo, NY, with four days onsite per week, and candidates must be local. Applicants must provide two genuine references. The stated rate is $45 per hour on W-2. H1B, CPT, and OPT candidates are not accepted.

Requirements

• Hands-on project management experience supporting project analysis, planning, governance, and execution in a complex transformation.
• Experience maintaining RAIDD logs, integrated plans, milestones, and cross-workstream dependencies.
• Experience supporting program governance and preparing executive-level status reporting.
• Ability to identify and escalate gaps, risks, dependencies, and schedule impacts.
• Experience tracking vendor and consultant commitments and deliverables.
• Ability to work effectively with business, technology, and third-party teams.
• Experience using Jira, ServiceNow SPM, and Microsoft Planner.
• Must be local to Buffalo, NY, and able to work onsite four days per week.
• Must provide two genuine references.

• Experience with large-scale transformational programs.
• Financial services experience.
• Experience with debit/card modernization, conversion, or platform migration.
• Familiarity with Fiserv Optis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain RAIDD logs, integrated plans, milestones, and cross-workstream dependencies; clarify owners and due dates and follow through on actions.
• Support program governance by preparing materials, coordinating inputs, documenting decisions and actions, and driving follow-up.
• Produce concise executive-level status reports and synthesize information across workstreams.
• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and schedule impacts proactively and elevate them appropriately.
• Support integrated planning and re-planning or re-baselining across multiple workstreams.
• Track vendor and consultant commitments and deliverables, follow up on at-risk items, and drive accountability.
• Work across business, technology, and third-party teams in a complex transformation environment.
• Use Jira, ServiceNow SPM, and Microsoft Planner to support planning and execution.
