About The Position

RAM Hotels is a dynamic, thriving, and innovative hotel management company headquartered in Columbus, Georgia. We are a leader in the hospitality sector, serving well-known midscale brands in key markets throughout Alabama and Georgia. We are gearing up for a period of rapid, stable, and sustainable growth. The Project Manager (PM) will report directly to the President & Executive Vice President. The PM is responsible for managing the budget, timeline, process, design, and construction for new-build/conversion and renovation projects for the company. The project manager will direct and coordinate between architect, civil engineer, Interior Designer, Brand Partner, and General Contractor in all activities concerned with the construction and renovation of hotels. The role also involves maintaining and managing company branding as a hotel developer through all social media platforms.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture or Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience within the industry.
  • Minimum 4 years progressive field construction experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Bluebeam, Adobe products, Project & Database Management Software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs, and e-mail at a highly proficient level.
  • Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions.
  • Ability to use logic to define a problem, collect information, establish facts, interpret information and deal with theoretical variables for unique or unfamiliar situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Requires finger dexterity, grasping, writing, standing for long periods, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for more than 4 hours in one session.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a robust new-build/conversion and renovation pipeline for the company.
  • Facilitating the delivery of Marriott Select Brand projects with a focus on schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Providing value-added project decisions utilizing construction industry experience, team collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Building relationships and providing consistent communications to various company departments and hotel management teams.
  • Coordinating all aspects of the project delivery process with Design, Development, Procurement, Finance, Risk Management, and other departments.
  • Utilizing a proprietary database/project management software to track multiple projects for accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Establishing a detailed knowledge and ability to deliver on brand strategy projects through close coordination with internal team disciplines.
  • Coordinating and documenting all milestone site observations.
  • Marketing and actively supporting the products and services provided by RAM Hotels.
  • Sharing best practices and lessons learned to promote continuous product and process improvement.
  • Performing other projects/assignments based on business needs/demands.
  • Reviewing and processing payment requisitions, material submittals/shop drawings, and change order requests.
  • Developing project schedules; tracking and reviewing construction documents.
  • Developing, executing, and managing contracts in accordance with divisional contracting policies and corporate guidelines.
  • Managing procurement processes from Bill of Materials and FF&E.
  • Consultant contracting and scope management.
  • Developing qualified bidders lists of General Contractors.
  • Preparing bid packages, contracts, and material orders.
  • Budget forecasting and development of monthly construction project reports.
  • Maintaining and updating vendor files and file numbers.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
  • Managing disruptive emotions and impulses; staying composed, positive, and unflappable while thinking clearly and remaining focused under pressure.
  • Engaging with team members and guests in conversation and recognition.
  • Promoting the company and its hotels by demonstrating a high level of positive attitude and energy.
