Reporting to the Manager, Housing Acquisition & Improvement, the Project Manager provides leadership and expert guidance in the planning, delivery, and implementation of complex housing projects, programs, and initiatives. Working collaboratively with internal staff, non-profit and private-sector housing partners, property owners, developers, and consultants, the incumbent ensures the successful delivery of projects while fostering strong stakeholder relationships, maintaining high standards of quality, and supporting organizational excellence. The incumbent is responsible for advancing housing projects within the Housing Acquisition & Improvement team’s diverse portfolio of housing initiatives, including non-profit rental housing acquisitions, environmental retrofits and renovations, non-profit ownership housing, multi-tenant housing improvements, and laneway and garden suite incentive programs. Leveraging expertise in real estate, financial and legal housing matters, residential design, renovations, facilities management, and stakeholder relations, the Project Manager develops and implements effective housing solutions that support the City's housing objectives.
