Project Manager Part-Time

Sharp Hue IncFayetteville, AR
$75 - $95Hybrid

About The Position

Sharp Hue is hiring an experienced Project Manager for a defined part-time role. This role involves taking decision-making and information processing off the plates of leadership, running client communication, and working alongside a consulting-trained development and design team as peers. The company is AI-first, and AI tools are core to how they work. The ideal candidate should already be using AI tools daily as a force multiplier on communication, documentation, and decision-making. This is a role for someone experienced, with their own tools and client instincts, who can get work done without hand-holding. Candidates must reside in Arkansas, Georgia, or Texas, and the role can be remote or hybrid from offices in Fayetteville, AR or Atlanta, GA. Experienced freelancers and consultants are welcome, as this is a defined engagement that can be layered alongside other work and is not a path to full-time employment. AI fluency is a strict requirement; candidates who are not already using AI tools daily are not a fit.

Requirements

  • Must already reside in Arkansas, Georgia, or Texas.
  • Senior project manager with the judgment to run engagements cleanly without leadership oversight.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in software development, digital product, or design environments.
  • A track record of running client-facing engagements independently and making good decisions without escalating every question.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication - you can de-escalate, summarize, and clarify under pressure.
  • Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail.
  • Daily fluency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) as a working partner - for drafting client communications, synthesizing meeting notes, stress-testing your own thinking, and accelerating documentation.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Trello, and comfort adapting to whatever tools a client engagement requires.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely - self-directed, dependable, and easy to collaborate with.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with software development and design processes is a strong plus.
  • You bring a level of confidence and expertise that makes things feel easier, not heavier.
  • You are at a stage of your career where you are optimizing for well-paid engagements rather than a path to full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and our team.
  • Run client interactions with professionalism and confidence - set expectations, manage scope conversations directly, and keep the client aligned through the life of each engagement.
  • Own client communications: lead meetings, write clear recaps, and translate client needs into direction the team can act on.
  • Lead conversations and meetings to gather requirements, define scope, and shape work into actionable plans.
  • Steward each engagement end-to-end so deliverables meet scope and quality expectations.
  • Track milestones and deadlines across multiple concurrent projects and keep them on course.
  • Spot risks and bottlenecks early, make decisions, and resolve issues before they reach the client or the team.
  • Hold the big picture - anticipate what's next and keep momentum.
  • Maintain clear, current project documentation so anyone - client, team, or leadership - can see where things stand.
  • Run scheduling, task tracking, and follow-ups in our project management tools (Trello and similar).
  • Establish a steady cadence of updates that keeps everyone informed without creating noise.
  • Facilitate clean communication between teams to remove friction and protect focus time.
  • Clear the path for our team rather than chasing them for status updates.
  • Provide leadership with honest, strategic read-outs on project health and client dynamics.

Benefits

  • W-2 part-time employment
  • Paid hourly on a bi-weekly schedule
  • Flexibility to maintain other clients or work, provided it does not conflict with availability for regularly scheduled Sharp Hue client meetings.
