About The Position

Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor with a strong regional reputation for building complex, high-visibility projects. Their portfolio spans public, educational, hospitality, and civic work, and their teams are known for a high standard of craftsmanship and a genuine commitment to the communities they build in. The Project Manager owns the delivery of one or more commercial construction projects from start to finish. You'll lead risk management, planning, contracting, and day-to-day project oversight, working closely with superintendents and the broader project team to hit quality, safety, schedule, and budget goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of project management experience in commercial construction strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction and contract law, building codes, public works, prevailing wage, and payroll reporting
  • Experience across delivery methods, including lump sum, CM/GC, and design-build
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project or P6, Bluebeam, and Procore or Sage
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project financials, owner and subcontractor contracts, scheduling, documentation, and change orders
  • Lead weekly OAC meetings and manage relationships with owners, designers, consultants, and trade partners
  • Support permitting, project startup, and site logistics planning
  • Build the master schedule alongside the superintendent and project team
  • Handle subcontractor and supplier buyout, contract negotiation, and procurement
  • Manage submittments and RFIs while supporting site safety, quality control, and compliance
  • Lead bid package development, estimating, and preconstruction efforts
  • Perform constructability reviews, value engineering, life-cycle cost analysis, and site investigations
  • Develop GMP amendments and supporting exhibits
  • Create and manage project budgets, with regular forecasts and reporting for accounting and leadership
  • Track labor productivity and forecast labor needs with the field team
