About The Position

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Project Manager to work onsite on our Critical Infrastructure Security & Resilience Programs team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho facility with every other Friday off. You will play an important role in leading delivery and capability development for high-impact mission work supporting Department of Homeland Security, DOE Office of Electricity, and DOE Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response offices. Idaho National Laboratory needs Project Managers to lead high-impact projects that shape the future of energy, national security, and scientific innovation, with work directly contributing to the laboratory's legacy as a leader in nuclear technology, cybersecurity, and grid modernization. You'll plan, document, execute, manage, and report on projects, integrate and communicate with customers, partners, and managers of related projects, and determine appropriate products or services with clients to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

Requirements

Level 2 : Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience. Master’s and 0 years of experience. PhD and 0 years' experience.
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution and 5 years of experience. Master’s and 2 years of experience. PhD and 2 years of experience.
Relevant experience functioning as a project lead, project manager, or lead role commensurate with level.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Depending on the assigned directorate, may be required to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate, Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification, or other equivalent certification.
Experience with INL systems, processes, and track record of demonstrated success within the National Lab/DOE system.
Familiarity with programs and portfolios supporting N&HS customers including DOE, DHS, and DOW.
Demonstrated ability to organize teams, data, and processes to ensure efficient program delivery.

Responsibilities

Plan, document, execute, manage, and report on projects.
Integrate and communicate with customers, partners, and managers of related projects.
Determine appropriate products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Utilize project management techniques to assure technical, schedule, and budget baselines are controlled throughout each phase of a project.
Participate in phase, milestone, and final project reviews.
Manage all projects in accordance with all BEA procedures and policies.
Monitor project activities and resources to mitigate risk.
Collaborate with procurement, and interface with the customer, regarding General and Special Conditions; participate in subcontract amendment negotiations and obtain necessary corporate and customer approvals.
Make improvements, solve problems, or take corrective action when problems arise.
Identify project documentation requirements or procedures.
Manage projects to ensure that they are completed on schedule, within budget, and that all work is performed in a safe manner.
Review inter-organizational agreements and subcontract packages for completeness and conformity to project requirements.
Perform project closeout activities including final cost report and project records closeout.
Develop teams as appropriate to successfully complete projects.
