About The Position

This position will provide project management oversight to ensure the coordination of all projects on time, within budget, and scope. The Project Manager will work with the HIV Care Services Unit in the Division of Disease Prevention/Office of Epidemiology to provide overall project coordination for the new client-level data system for HIV services, called Provide Enterprise®. This position will also oversee team activities to support the business, work with the business manager to ensure accurate invoicing, coordinate audit requests, and collaborate with the RWHAP B Service Coordinator to provide guidance on vendor and contract relations. The Project Manager will also collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.

Requirements

  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills (5 Years)
  • Meeting facilitation with customers and technical teams (5 Years)
  • Documenting and understanding customer requirements, processes, and design and programming specifications (5 Years)
  • Reading logical data models, databases and programming specifications developed from customer requirements (5 Years)
  • Business analysis, requirements solicitation and documentation (5 Years)
  • Knowledge and experience using multiple project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile (5 Years)
  • Ability to blend methodologies together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment (5 Years)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow-through (5 Years)
  • Must be able to operate effectively in a changing environment with multiple priorities (5 Years)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (5 Years)
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands (5 Years)
  • Must possess an active PMP from PMI or a VITA PM certification. NO other certs accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent experience (Highly desired 4 Years)
  • Experience working in the health care or public health sector as it relates to understanding complex systems of service delivery (Highly desired 5 Years)
  • Project management qualification by the Commonwealth of Virginia, or VITA PM certification (Highly desired 5 Years)
  • Experience performing systems analysis, architecting technical solutions, and/or managing application development projects (Desired 5 Years)
  • Understanding of and (experience with) Commonwealth of Virginia project management standards (highly desired Desired 5 Years)
