About The Position

Control Panels USA is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team in Georgetown, TX. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing their assigned projects, ensuring both financial success and meeting client expectations. This role involves interfacing with clients, coordinating with production, field technicians, and other contractors. The position is located at our Georgetown, TX office. Control Panels USA is a manufacturer of Control Panels and Relay Rack assemblies serving a wide range of industries, offering custom design and fabrication for OEM clients, contractors, and end users. Our Georgetown, Texas facility is equipped with state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and testing capabilities, enabling us to provide cost-effective solutions with competitive lead times and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Electrical controls, instrumentation, and panel design required.
  • Ability to follow specifications, contract drawings, budgets, and schedules.
  • Must be familiar with reading and interpreting control schematics.
  • Must be able to work on project sites and adhere to safety policy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and implementing assigned projects.
  • Ensuring the financial success of projects.
  • Meeting client expectations for projects.
  • Reviewing proposals, cost estimates, quotes, contract drawings, specifications, addendums, and pertinent emails.
  • Discussing projects with the Estimator.
  • Selecting equipment to meet project requirements while maximizing project margin, including exploring alternative equipment options and 'or equal' equipment at lower costs.
  • Ensuring project requirements, expectations, and deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining good relations with clients and vendors.
  • Performing design of panels and/or systems, including creating Electrical Schematics, Panel Layout Drawings, Communication Drawings, Loop Drawings, or other applicable drawings.
  • Providing documentation to the Office Manager for submittal preparation, approving and submitting final submittals to clients, which may include Schedules of Equipment, Drawings, I/O Lists, Test Reports, and O&M Manuals.
  • Ensuring equipment is ordered by working with the Purchasing Department at proper times for best delivery while minimizing company cash flow burden.
  • Working with the Production Manager, Team Leads, and Assembly Technicians to ensure panels are built as required, involving daily interaction during fabrication.
  • Working with Field Technicians to ensure installation, commissioning, and startup activities are accomplished effectively, on time, and within budget.
  • Conducting site visits for meetings, work reviews, and to assist with startup/installation.
  • Closing out project documentation, reviewing final billing for accurate invoicing of change orders and other costs, reviewing final job costing reports, and turning over all required documentation to the client.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Notifying the Financial Controller and Director of Project Management of any project change orders.
  • Performing any other requested tasks, assignments, duties, or projects by management.
