About The Position

Oversight of CAM/PMs to ensure good planning and management of projects are performed. The Project Manager position involves oversight of the planning, executing and delivery of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also managing resources, stakeholders, and risks. The project manager coordinates all technical activities in an efficient manner to ensure that the project requirements and deadlines are met. Coordinate with other organizations, professionals, field personnel, and subcontractors to accomplish the efficient and smooth implementation of project directives.

Requirements

Proven track record of leading project teams.
Demonstrated expertise in project management, including project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and cost analysis.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability in budget and schedule development.
Deep knowledge of change management principles, life cycle cost analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
Advanced proficiency with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and forensic schedule/cost analysis.
Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing operational and financial data to drive performance and decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective stakeholder management and team leadership.
Lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
Strong organizational skills and ability to develop and manage project plans.
Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Advanced knowledge of government contracting or regulated environments, including subcontract oversight and compliance.
High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across diverse disciplines.
Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PMBOK.
Advanced proficiency in project management software and tools.
Bachelor’s degree combined with 15 years of related experience.
Formal education in Project Management, Project Management Professional (PMP) or other notable project management certification or demonstrated proficiency in Project Management (particularly on government contracts with EVMS requirements) is essential.
A combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position’s duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.
2 years of relevant experience for 1 year of college.

Previous experience working on or managing environmental projects at DOE sites is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains project baselines, with appropriately defined project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Oversees project activities, manage tasks, and ensure adherence to the project plan.
Leads and motivates project management team, providing guidance and support through influencing others.
Communicates project status, addresses challenges and concerns, and manages expectations.
Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks.
Manages project costs and ensure adherence to the budget.
Utilizing N3B’s Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and working with project controls support staff, tracks progress, identifies potential issues, analyzes variances, and develops, implements, and manages corrective actions.
Ensures that project deliverables meet quality standards.
Maintains project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
